Kevin is a Co-Founder and Director of Global Development for Earth Uprising International Earth Uprising, a global youth-led climate movement, where he has been advocating for climate education in Kenya and Africa.

Local environmetal initiatives

KEAN

Through his work with KEAN, Mtai has assumed a pivotal role in empowering the next generation of environmental champions within the Kenyan context. To this end, he has provided these emerging leaders with the necessary resources, platforms, and assistance to tackle the critical issues of climate change and declining ecosystems at the local community level. Mtai's efforts have thus contributed to the mobilization and equipping of Kenyan citizens, enabling them to become active participants in driving positive environmental solutions.

Environmental School Tour

Born from the Earth Day week Environmental Soccer Tournament, this initiative educates schools and communities on the importance of environmental conservation.

Environmental Tournament

Living in a rural area where many in my community are skeptical about climate change, I initiated this project to educate and raise awareness through soccer, a beloved sport. So far, we have successfully organized three tournaments. Soccer provides an effective platform to gather the community and educate them on climate change and conservation.

Our mission is to educate underserved rural populations on confronting climate-related health threats and achieving environmental justice through pollution reduction and sustainable practices. By engaging with the community, we aim to understand and dispel myths about climate change, fostering a collective effort for long-lasting solutions. We strive to transform societal values from profit-centric to sustainability-focused, meeting essential human needs.
